I just heard about this store and visited them on Friday. They are very well stocked with products I already use and their prices were great. I stocked up! They are really nice people and treated me really well! I will be returning regularly and I highly recommend them.

PPD is a hidden gem in a small neighborhood of old homes off Stockton street in San Jose. The owner Phi Dinh worked at Kelley-Moore until they went out of business. The timing was perfect to open his own shop. The front of the store is neat and tidy, with all the painting supplies this do-it-yourselfer could need. In the back are bulk paints and close out deals. Phi knows his paints, and he’s a wealth of knowledge. He likes to say he sells solutions, not products, helping me figure out what I needed, and what I didn’t need. Whether you’re a professional painter, or a hobbyist, avoid the big box stores and come here. You’ll get out in less time, more $ in your pocket, and you’ll support a small business.

Phi made it completely effortless on the consultation part with my customer on their paint and everything was picked out in just one go! Thank you Phi for all your help especially on the paint matching! Ohh did I also mention how much lower it costs to get your paint here vs Home Depot? PPD has all painting tools so pretty much one stop shop here. I will be a loyal customer!!!!

Phi and Yancy are very nice people and very knowledgeable about all products. I have come to the store a few times and they have helped me every time and they don’t care how much time spent with you as long as you’re taken care of. Great people! Great Service and Great Store
